What the 2026 Hemp Law Means

Heads up: federal rules for hemp-derived THC are changing, and it affects the drinks you love. Here's the plain-English version — no panic, just the facts and what to do about it.

What's changing

In November 2025, a federal spending law (the FY2026 agriculture appropriations act, P.L. 119-37) redefined “hemp.” The new definition measures total THC (not just Delta-9) and excludes finished consumable products that contain more than 0.4 mg of THC per container. In practice, that removes the legal footing for most hemp-derived THC beverages, gummies, and similar products sold today.

When it takes effect

The law included a one-year transition period. Enforcement of the new definition begins November 12, 2026. Until then, the products you see on our shelves remain available under current rules.

What it means for you

  • Right now, nothing changes — you can shop and enjoy your favorites as usual.
  • Selection may tighten as the date approaches. As brands adjust to the new standard, some products and flavors could become harder to find.
  • If you have go-to drinks, it's a smart time to stock up while the full lineup is still here.
  • The picture is still evolving. Lawmakers continue to debate hemp policy, and the rules could shift again. We'll keep this page updated.

What we're doing

We're keeping our shelves stocked with the brands you love for as long as we can, watching the legislation closely, and we'll communicate clearly if anything changes for your orders. Sign up for our email list to be the first to know about restocks and updates.
