Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about hemp-derived THC & CBD beverages — what they are, how they work, and how to enjoy them responsibly. Must be 21+.

The Basics

What are hemp-derived THC beverages?

They're sparkling drinks — seltzers, sodas, tonics, and canned cocktails — infused with cannabinoids derived from hemp, most commonly Delta-9 THC, often alongside CBD or CBG. Because the cannabinoids come from hemp and the finished products contain no more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight, they're federally distinct from marijuana products. Think of them as a social, better-for-you alternative to alcohol.

Are these legal?

Hemp-derived products containing under 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight are legal at the federal level under the 2018 Farm Bill. State laws vary, and some states restrict or prohibit these products. We block shipments to restricted states automatically at checkout, so you'll only be able to order what's allowed where you live. This isn't legal advice — check your local rules if you're unsure.

What's the difference between THC, CBD, and CBG?

THC (Delta-9) is the cannabinoid responsible for the classic euphoric "buzz." CBD is non-intoxicating and is often added for a calmer, more balanced feel. CBG is another non-intoxicating cannabinoid some brands include for a clear-headed, mood-lifting character. Many of our drinks blend two or three of these — the product page and our filters show exactly what's in each can.

Effects & Dosing

Will these get me high?

They can produce a noticeable effect, which is the point — but it depends entirely on the dose and your individual tolerance. Low-dose options (2.5–5mg) are designed to be sessionable and mellow; higher-dose options (10mg and up) are more pronounced. If you're new, start with the lowest dose available.

How much should I drink?

Start low and go slow. If it's your first time, begin with a single low-dose can and wait before having more. Effects from beverages typically begin within 10–20 minutes (some fast-acting, nano-emulsion drinks kick in sooner) — much faster than edibles, but still not instant. Give it time before reaching for another so you can find your comfortable level.

How fast do the effects start, and how long do they last?

Most hemp beverages begin to take effect within 10–20 minutes thanks to fast-acting emulsion technology, with effects commonly lasting one to a few hours depending on dose, the product, and your metabolism. Everyone is different — your experience may vary.

How are these different from alcohol?

No alcohol means no hangover, no calories from booze, and a different kind of buzz. Many people use these drinks as a 1:1 swap for a beer or cocktail at social occasions. Do not combine them with alcohol, and never drink and drive.

Safety & Quality

Are the products lab-tested?

Yes. The brands we carry third-party lab-test their products, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) confirm cannabinoid potency and screen for contaminants. Look for the COA link on each product or brand page.

Will I pass a drug test?

Likely not. These products contain real THC, which can build up in your system and trigger a positive result on a drug test — even at low doses. If you're subject to drug testing for any reason, we recommend you do not consume these products.

Can I mix these with alcohol or medications?

Don't mix with alcohol. If you take prescription medication or have a health condition, talk to your doctor before trying hemp-derived THC products. Don't drive or operate machinery after consuming. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA, and these products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Do I have to be 21?

Yes. You must be 21 or older to purchase and consume these products. Keep them sealed, labeled, and stored safely away from children and pets.

Ordering & Shipping

Do you ship to my state?

We ship to most U.S. states. Because state laws differ, restricted states are blocked at checkout — if you can complete your order, we can ship to you. See our Where We Ship page for the current list.

How should I store them?

Store cool and out of direct sunlight. Refrigerate for the best taste, and shake gently before drinking if the label suggests it. Check the can for any best-by date.

What's your return policy?

Because these are consumable products, returns are handled case-by-case. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us and we'll make it right. See our Refund Policy for full details.
